Conditions We Treat

Hand and Wrist Pain

Repetitive strain, nerve entrapment, and joint conditions in the hand and wrist.

Overview

Understanding Hand and Wrist Pain

Hand and wrist pain interferes with nearly everything we do — typing, lifting, opening jars, gripping a steering wheel. The wrist is a complex of small joints supported by an intricate network of tendons, ligaments, and nerves, and dysfunction in any of these structures can produce significant symptoms.

Common presentations include De Quervain's tenosynovitis, TFCC injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and wrist instability following sprains or repetitive strain. Many cases are influenced by elbow and shoulder mechanics or by sustained postures at the keyboard.

At Functional Restoration Institute, we evaluate the wrist alongside the elbow, shoulder, and cervical spine. Care combines joint mobilisation, soft tissue work, neurodynamic techniques, and progressive loading to restore comfortable, confident hand use.
